Those two Buildings “only” have 51 holes.

Productive holidays / Produktive Feiertage

The days after Christmas where very productive. Finealy the big building is illuminated. Thanks to my beloved wife. She helped me with is. It took arround 20 hours to cut all 386 Fiber Optics and place them into the Building.

Die Tage nach Weihnachten waren sehr produktiv. Endlich ist das große Gebäude beleuchtet. Dank auch an meine Frau für ihre Hilfe. Es hat insgesamt ca. 20 Stunden gedauert alle 368 Lichtleiter zu schneiden und an zu bringen.

Todays Video (sorry only in German) shows how I’m placing the Fiber Optics into the one of the Buildings.

This Building is the biggest on of the Ship. It contains 368 holes. And because it’s on top of the Ship it needs to be enlightened from two sites. That makes it even more complicated.

During the last drilling I broke my final small drill. So I had to order new once. 10 0.3mm and 10 0.4mm should be enough:

Während der Arbeiten an diesem Gebäude habe ich meinen letzten kleinen Bohrer abgebrochen. Also erstmal 20 neue bestellt (10 mal 0.3 mm und 10 mal 0.4 mm).

Drill Sergent

Since all hollowing of the Buildings is finished I started with drilling holes for the fiber optics into the first building. 50 holes were needed for this small building. Just for you to have a clue about the size of the drill and the holes you can see one of my fingers on this picture:

Nachdem jetzt alle Gebäude ausgehölt sind habe ich angefangen Löcher für die Lichtwellenleiter in der erste Gebäude zu bohren. 50 Löcher waren für dieses kleine Gebäude nötig. Um eine Vorstellung von der größe des Bohrers und der Löcher zu haben sieht man einen meiner Finger auf dem Bild:

The damaged parts of this Building were done during my hollowing. I will fix this after I installed the fiber optics.

Die Beschädiungen dieses Gebäudes sind während meiner aushöhl Arbeiten damals entstanden. Ich werde dies reparieren nachdem ich die Lichtwellenleiter angebracht habe.

Finaly I got some time to continue. So I worked again on the Tower because after the Primer I found some spots I didn’t like.

Then I finished another Building:

Endlich hatte ich wieder etwas Zeit weiter zu bauen. Also habe ich zuerst den Turm weiter bearbeitet da mir nach der Grundierung ein paar Stellen aufgefallen sind die mir nicht gefallen haben.

Danach habe ich ein weiteres Gebäude fertig gestellt:

Bridge Tower finished / Brückenturm fertig

The last little holes in the Bridge Tower are filled with Putty. Looking good. After this I continued drilling trenches into the Buildings.

Die letzten Löcher im Brücken Turm sind mit Putty gefüllt. Sieht gut aus. Danach habe ich weiter mit dem aushöhlen der Gebäude weitergemacht.

3 become 1 / Aus drei mach eins

Finally I got some time to continue. I sanded the Bridgetower and removed some bad spots. Then I glued the tower on his base and added the sensor array.

Endlich hatte ich mal wieder etwas Zeit weiterzumachen. Ich habe den Brückenturm geschliffen und ein paar Giesfehler repariert. Danach habe ich den Turm auf seine Basis geklebt und noch die Sensor-Antenne angebracht.

After that I primed everything. Looks good but some spots still need some work.

Danach habe ich das ganze grundiert. Sieht schon gut aus, aber ein paar stellen müssen noch überarbeitet werden.
