Finaly I got some time to continue. So I worked again on the Tower because after the Primer I found some spots I didn’t like.

Then I finished another Building:

Endlich hatte ich wieder etwas Zeit weiter zu bauen. Also habe ich zuerst den Turm weiter bearbeitet da mir nach der Grundierung ein paar Stellen aufgefallen sind die mir nicht gefallen haben.

Danach habe ich ein weiteres Gebäude fertig gestellt:

Bridge Tower finished / Brückenturm fertig

The last little holes in the Bridge Tower are filled with Putty. Looking good. After this I continued drilling trenches into the Buildings.

Die letzten Löcher im Brücken Turm sind mit Putty gefüllt. Sieht gut aus. Danach habe ich weiter mit dem aushöhlen der Gebäude weitergemacht.

3 become 1 / Aus drei mach eins

Finally I got some time to continue. I sanded the Bridgetower and removed some bad spots. Then I glued the tower on his base and added the sensor array.

Endlich hatte ich mal wieder etwas Zeit weiterzumachen. Ich habe den Brückenturm geschliffen und ein paar Giesfehler repariert. Danach habe ich den Turm auf seine Basis geklebt und noch die Sensor-Antenne angebracht.

After that I primed everything. Looks good but some spots still need some work.

Danach habe ich das ganze grundiert. Sieht schon gut aus, aber ein paar stellen müssen noch überarbeitet werden.

And now something completely different / Und nun was ganz anderes

I didn’t have time to work on my model the last days/weeks.
But yesterday  while my wife was watching TV I build something else.

Can you imagine what (btw thanks Basti for this Birthday Present)?

It took me about 2 hours, but I let the Pictures speak now:

Ich hatte die letzten Tage/Wochen keine Zeit an meinem Model zu basteln.
Aber gestern habe ich etwas anderes zusammengebaut während meine Frau Fernsehen geschaut hat.

This is a project of my friend Mark Dermul from Belgium.

It has nothing to do with me. This is a Project about the Rescue of the “Lars Homestead”.  As you may know Luke Skywalker was raised by his Uncle Own Lars on Tatooine. The original Film Location is in Tunisia and Mark is trying to renovate it because time and weather nearly destroyed it.

His target is to gain 10.000$ and this is fully approved by Lucasfilm.

Relight my fire

All 11 Fiber Optics are glued and shortened a little. Just a quick test with light:

Alle 11 LWLs sind angeklebt und etwas gekürzt. Nur ein kleiner Lichttest:

The tower has now 11 holes for the fiber optics. Then I glued them and the next step is closing the big hole at the bottom of the tower where the fiber optics are coming out.

Der Turm hat jetzt elf Löcher für die LWLs. Danach habe ich diese angeklebt. Der nächste Schritt ist das grosse Loch, durch das die LWLs auf der Unterseite des Towers herraus kommen, zu schliessen.

Bridge / Brücke

Another building at the Bridge Area is done.

Ein weiteres Gebäude an der Brückenebene ist fertig.

Then I drilled the trench for this building an a hole for the Bridge Tower. Also for the Building I prepared yesterday.

Danach habe ich einen Graben für das Gebäude gebohrt und für den Brücken Turm selbst. Ebenfalls für das Gebäude was ich gestern fertiggestellt habe.

After that I drilled a hole in the building below the tower and into the tower itself.

Danach habe ich ein Loch in das Gebäude unterhalb des Turms gebohrt und in den Turm selbst.
